Seascapes with David Johnson

David will bring the imagery long and talk you through the steps to create a mind blowingly realistic sea scape, whether you are a beginner or an advanced painter, you will leave with a masterpiece.

David will teach as a group and then individually throughout the day. Studying light, texture and colour, playing with the contrasts of dramatic sea scapes.

He will guide you through a range of techniques, from traditional brushwork to alternative methods using palette knives, fingers, sponges, and more!

Please bring your own materials, Oils or Acrylics and a 14x18 canvas. We have some basic brushes in the studio that you can use but please bring your favourites along. Recommended paint colours are the usual suspects consisting of Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Red, Vermillion, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue, Dioxazine Purple, Raw Umber.
